I’m back in school again. Finally got my brain ready for the task at hand– at least I think so. I think The Spinstah had an excellent idea: a list of what’s going on this semester.

  • Taking three classes
    • Archival Access and Use– My second archives class so far in the program. I’ll have an internship with this one, too. We’ll be learning about description, cataloging, encoding, etc.
    • Evaluation of Information Services– Class with The Spinstah! How to interpret/design evaluations. I know it’s good stuff to know, just not that interesting.
    • Principles of Management– Again, good to know. Hopefully, I’ll be able to tailor the assignments to reflect archival issues.
  • Working at Leo’s Doggie Daycare two afternoons per week. That’ll be a great change from what looks to be a fairly intense semester. Hooray for dogs! (and I’ll be working on the website)
  • Performing at Creative Sugar, a benefit for JDRF, produced by Life is Good Productions. It’s mid-November, and I’ll be playing accordion and singing. You should come, or even audition! (I’ll also be doing the website for LIGP.)
  • Knitting Christmas presents. You’re all getting hats. I’ll knit as many as I can between now and Christmas, and you get to choose one you like. I’ll be doing these on the train, most likely.
  • Catching up on my scrapbooks. I have a million photos, and maybe three of them are actually in albums. I still have a friend’s wedding present to finish. (They got married last fall. To be fair, we have to get together so she can show me what photos she wants to include. Our schedules just haven’t lined up right.)
  • Taking time for the occasional evening out with friends. I might have to actually schedule it in my planner, but dammit, I’m going to have some fun!

Ok, that’s about it. I’m in pretty good spirits now that I’m finally getting my act together. To celebrate, I made an avatar. Check her out! I think she’s way cute.
